First Entry

So my old blog/website got a nasty virus attached to it somehow and I had no idea how to remove it and make it safe for viewers to come and visit so chose to delete it instead. To update what has been going on, I am renovating and redirecting one of the rooms in my old farmhouse and am hoping to be done before Christmas.  We pulled down this ugly wall unit.

We were happy to discover the walls had been drywalled and were only needing to be patched and painted.  We have come across some issues however.  We uncovered an outlet behind a heater.

And the wall beneath the staircase was not drywalled.  That is the original green wall and you can see the trim and baseboard as well.  It's the cream coloured wood.

I've also had to paint the moulding along the ceiling from a dark blue to a more appealing white.

I think another day or two and the room will finally be done.  We have started to enjoy riding in the farmer's field behind our farm but discovered hunters also enjoy hunting in the woods adjacent to the field so we have started to wear these protective vests.

Now the girls stand out and won't be confused for any deer.
