Oh how my critters hate barn redo's. Just when they get settled in, along comes that farmer woman and reshuffles everyone around the barn once again. After administering pre-kidding vaccinations, we examined the sheep and concluded that they are not pregnant. Pretty certain. Maybe. Oh I don't know, but anyway we decided to put the ram back in with the ewes as Katahdin go into heat year round and we are going to try for summer babies. This meant removing the goats. So we moved all the intact boys out of their stall and moved the goats into it instead. We set up Caesar in his own digs next door to the goats.
And Dodge has moved in with his ewes. That's him in the red collar.
Sure enough the dark carmel started flirting and wagging her tail at him. He attempted to mount her but all the other gals wouldn't have any of it. Perhaps that is why we have no expecting mamma ewes. If it keeps up, I may have to do another barn redo that includes a honeymoon suite.
